Description
In 2018 we took the opportunity to answer the frequent question, “do you have a rose?” and to honor our granddaughters, Carmen and Zoe by producing a beautifully rich, appropriately pink rose made from our estate grown Malbec grapes. Malbec is an unusual choice for a rose in these parts, but we think we struck all the right chords with this summer love song. The fruit was beautiful when picked at 21.5 degrees Brix and after only 3 hours of skin contact we got just the right color – deep, clear, cheeky pink. Marjorie created a perfect image for the redesigned label and the combination has been an immediate hit. Folks like to purchase a bottle, put it on ice and gulp it under the huge sycamores outside of the tasting room on a hot afternoon. Every mouthful reminds us that it’s still summer in the Umpqua Valley.
